· The construction in our front lobby, when finished, will be our Patient & Family Resource Center. This isslated to open in September and will allow patients and their families to have access to credible medical information on a variety of topics ranging from nutrition to various cancer treatment plans. This new Resource Center will be staffed by trained volunteers who will help patients research and navigate the internet, as well as to check out books or dvds on a variety of medical related topics.
· We have a new Medical Staff Conference room. In this room, physicians meet weekly to review patient cases and treatment plans. The front entrance of this space is our new Community Support & Well-Being Area which is designed to allow various patient support group meetings to take place. The artwork was just installed and our furniture should be arriving very soon.
· In addition, we are in the process of upgrading the software technology that we use here the Cancer Center to monitor the treatment plans for our radiation patients.
